Rain today. Gusting winds too. Pretty much the first truly nasty day of the fall. Thank goodness for having Veterans Day off (more on this later).
The wife had to work and, seeing as she is sick and this is the 4th anniversary of our getting engaged, I’m going to make something tasty for her for dinner. Think I’ll also dig out the crockpot and see if I can make my own variation on that delectable Starbucks treat, caramel apple spice. We both love that drink, but the prospect of paying almost $3 a cup for what ammounts to hot flavored apple juice is a little bothersome. Then we add in the rain and cold… And I’d rather have a nice crockpot of joy simmering away all evening.
